The favorite weeder of Gertrude Jekyll--horticulturalist, landscape painter, photographer, author, embroiderer, metal worker, woodworker and gardening icon.
Forged from 1/2-inch diameter rod. The gently curved, sharply pointed, 8-inch long tines are an inch apart, center to center, leaving a 5/8-inch gap between. Overall, the tool is about a foot long. It penetrates soil easily and is used to pry, twist and extract the most stubborn weeds. |
